Carlos Quant, Deputy Secretary, Budget and Administration

Carlos Quant joined the California State Transportation Agency as the Deputy Secretary for Budget and Administration in October 2020.  In this role, Carlos serves as a key advisor to the Secretary on all budget, fiscal policy, and administrative matters related to the Transportation Agency and departments under its jurisdiction.

Carlos has over 13 years of experience in fiscal policy and state budget administration in a variety of policy areas, including Health and Human Services, Public Safety, Transportation, and Environmental Protection.  His experience includes 4 years as a Finance Budget Analyst at the California Department of Finance, and over 7 years as an administrator over financial operations.
