Marlon Flournoy, Deputy Secretary, Transportation Planning

Marlon was appointed Deputy Secretary for Transportation Planning at the California State Transportation Agency in February 2018.

Prior to this appointment, Marlon served as District 3 (Marysville/Sacramento) Deputy District Director of Planning, Local Assistance and Sustainability at the California Department of Transportation since 2014, where he held several other positions since 2008, including Acting Assistant Director of Sustainability, Acting District 1 (Eureka) Deputy District Director of Planning and Local Assistance, Chief of the statewide Project Initiation Document Program, and Program Manager of the Environmental Justice Planning Grant Program.  Marlon also worked for the City of Fairfield between 2005 and 2008 as a transportation planner.

Marlon is a graduate of the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning with an emphasis in Transportation Planning.  Marlon is also a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Manager Professional (PMP).
