Scott Wyckoff was appointed as general counsel at the California State Transportation Agency by Governor Newsom in November 2019. Prior to his appointment, Scott served as general counsel at the California Department of Business Oversight since 2014. He held multiple positions in the California Attorney General’s Office from 1999 to 2014, including deputy attorney general and supervising deputy attorney general. Scott also was an attorney at Cuneo Black Ward and Missler from 1998 to 1999. Before law school, Scott was assistant to the government affairs director at the Oregon Education Association from 1993 to 1994, was chief of staff in the Office of Oregon House of Representatives member Sharon Wylie from 1992 to 1993, and was a legislative assistant in the Office of Oregon House of Representatives member Hedy Rijken from 1990 to 1991.
Scott earned a degree in political science from the University of Oregon and a Juris Doctor degree from the Golden Gate University School of Law.
