Abby Jackson, Senior Climate Change Coordinator

In her role as Senior Climate Change Coordinator, Abby assists with policy analysis, program support, and interagency coordination related to climate mitigation and resilience, land use and housing issues, and environmental policy issues, among other topics. She is the project manager on the CAPTI annual report and provides support for the Housing and Transportation workgroup.

Previously, Abby worked at Caltrans since 2018 holding a number of key roles.

Prior to joining Caltrans, Abby worked as a planner for a regional economic development agency on workforce, housing and ZEV topics, as a consultant to local governments at the environmental planning firm LSA and as an urban and health equity planner and community organizer in the Midwest. Abby is a professional planner as accredited by the American Institute of Certified Planners and holds a Master of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Arts from UW-Madison in Environmental Policy. In her spare time, Abby loves going on road trips, hiking with friends and family, and playing frisbee with her dog Rico.
