Notice of Public Webcast: Cap and Trade – Rail and Transit Programs

The Administration is seeking public input on the investment of cap-and-trade auction proceeds to support the State’s effort to reduce greenhouse gases through two new transit and rail programs established in Senate Bill 862 (Chapter 361, Statutes of 2014):


The Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program& The Low-Carbon Transit Operations Program

At this webcast, the Administration will present background on the requirements of state law, and ask the public to provide feedback that will inform the Administration’s crafting of draft program guidelines.  After the draft guidelines are developed, additional public meetings will be scheduled to receive comments prior to adoption of final guidelines. The materials presented on the webcast will be the same materials used during the in-person public workshops in San Jose, Los Angeles and Sacramento during August 2014.
